INTRODUCTION

Vertiv launches a chilled-water thermal wall for slab floor data centers.A new chilled water wall from Vertiv has been introduced; it is made to fit with more recent slab floor data centers.

 

The CWA, introduced in EMEA, is intended to enhance the efficiencyof chilled water cooling in data centers constructed in line with the current fashion and without elevated floors. The US-designed CWA chilled-water thermal wall cooling unit comes in capacities of 250kW, 350kW, and 500kW.

 

In buildings with high floors, cold air seeps into the racks from below the floor. Large data centers, such those used by hyperscalers, are constructed with a low-velocity air flow throughout the structure. This technology is sold by Stulz, which introduced CyberWall cooling, and Aligned, which has been utilizing it for a while.

The Liebert CWA is integrated into the data center outside of the IT racks and is made to occupy the least amount of room feasible, allowing for increased density and more racks.

 

It has built-in ventilation controls. It may be combined with the chilled water system of the data center to enhance the performance of the complete cooling network.Compared to specially manufactured cooling walls, the CWA is a standardised product with less expensive installation expenses.
