The TLV840 has a low power consumption, great precision, and a short propagation delay (tp HL= 30 s usual). When the voltage at VDD falls below the negative voltage threshold, a reset output signal is asserted (VIT-).

 

 When VDD exceeds VIT- plus hysteresis (VHYS) and the reset time delay (tD) expires, the reset signal is cleared. By putting a capacitor between the CT pin and ground, the reset time delay may be configured.
