Surgical robots are important for minimally invasive surgery because they allow for accurate manipulation of surgical tools beyond the capabilities of humans in a tiny operating room.
Robotic surgery is performed through tiny incisions by a properly trained surgeon. Conditions affecting your heart, digestive system, bladder, prostate, and more can be treated using robotic surgery. The advantages include decreased blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery.
The Oman Surgical Robotics Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
Apollo Hospitals introduces RenaissanceTM Robotic Technology in Asia-Pacific and completes 12 complex spinal surgeries in 10 days.A 10-year-old child had complicated spinal surgery at Apollo Hospitals.
This was the 12th successful operation performed in less than 10 days since Renaissance Robotic Technology, the only technology created particularly for spine surgery, was introduced. First in Asia-Pacific to provide this minimally invasive robotic-guided surgical guiding system for spine surgery is Apollo Hospitals Group.
Heema, a 10-year-old girl from Gujarat, was born with congenital abnormalities that caused her spine to be horribly malformed. The youngster had previously undergone a number of unsuccessful treatments before being sent to Apollo Hospitals, leaving her with rods in her back, many breaks, and a spine that was horribly twisted.
The medical staff had a number of difficulties treating the youngster. However, the delicate procedure to repair the damaged spine was carried out with great safety and accuracy thanks to Renaissance Robotic Technology.
A youngster who would have otherwise been destined to live with the severe deformity and risked dying young from cardiopulmonary failure or being paralysed may now have a normal life like any other 10-year-old.
This therapy at Apollo Hospitals has benefited international patients as well. Two young Omani patients were hospitalised with excruciating back pain that was radiating down both of their legs.
Both patients had previously had non-operative care in Oman without experiencing any sort of alleviation. Sulaiman Mohammad, 36, one of the patients, had been dealing with discomfort for almost two years before it started to interfere with his daily activities.
Robot-assisted minimally invasive spine surgery was performed on both patients. Both have been pain-free since the procedure, and they are now able to walk normally.
