Large rocks can be crushed into smaller rocks, gravel, sand, or rock dust using a crusher. Plastic is broken into smaller pieces for granulation using a machine called a plastic shredder.
Shredders, as opposed to plastic granulators, are created especially for larger plastic waste, such as vehicle bumpers, pipes, drums, and other objects that are too large for granulators.
Large plastic objects are fed into the shredder during the procedure. The plastic crusher's motor propels the rotating blade cutter to rotate quickly. High speed moving blades that are revolving create a relative movement with stationary blades. Huge materials will be reduced in size through the space between them.
The Global Plastic Crusher Machine Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
Lindner releases shredder variants with increased output. According to the company, Micro mat HP models can increase output by 30% when compared to older machines.
The Micro mat HP (High Performance) type shredders from Austria-based Lindner-Recycling tech are described as "extremely efficient universal shredders for processing plastics and other [materials].
"The business claims that although while the machine dimensions and technology are identical to Lindner's current Micro mat 2000 and 2500 systems, output gains of up to 30% "are now a reality" as a result of the HP modifications. The business claims that the new Micro mat HP single-shaft shredders, like the ones already in use, can be flexibly customized to serve any desired function and boast a low-energy design with little need for maintenance.
According to Lindner, the rotor geometry has been modified to enable the knives to be employed more effectively per spin. The Micro mat machines are perfect for shredding plastic scrap and all other types of municipal, industrial, and commercial scrap "to an exact, pre-defined grain size," according to the manufacturer. An optimized Siemens control unit also helps to achieve this goal.
Micro mat HP shredders come with a 132 kW or 160 kW motor that spins the rotor at 105 revolutions per minute (RPM). According to Lindner, "damage to the machine caused by foreign objects and obstructions can be avoided, meaning no more long machine downtimes." This is made possible by the design of the gearbox and a coupled safety clutch.
