For the purpose of creating regulated DC output power from first and second unregulated DC power sources, a transformer rectifier device is offered. The transformer rectifier unit consists of a transformer with primary and secondary windings that can be connected to an AC input power source.
A first level of AC power is produced by the first secondary winding, and a second level of AC power, which is lower than the first level, is produced by the second secondary winding.
To convert the AC power from the first and second secondary circuits to DC power with appropriate first and second DC levels, first and second rectifier circuits are connected to them, respectively. An output of the first rectifier circuit and an output of the second rectifier circuit are connected by a switch.

The Global Regulated Transformer Rectifier Units market MARKET accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
Having recently obtained certification, Astronics is now supplying 150amp and 250amp regulated power conversion units (RPCU). In addition to performing the same task as a conventional transformer rectifier unit (TRU), this new product family also has the advantages of a regulated output voltage, improved power conversion efficiency, and a 30% weight reduction.
