Main national radiological society is the Russian Association of Radiologists (RAR). There are a number of sub societies, including ones for cardiac radiology and interventional radiology.
The national society needs to be more involved in professional CME, education, and interactions with the Ministry of Health.
Professional organisations should be involved in the development of all rules, guidelines, and other policies that the ministry creates.
The European Society of Radiology (ESR) has nearly 1000 Russian members outside of Russia, which represents a significant increase over the past few years. All knowledge is not available to us in our own nation. Today’s radiology is global.
The Ministry of Health oversees the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, which is responsible for providing government-funded healthcare. The Russian Federation’s Constitution has guaranteed all citizens access to free healthcare.

It will enable Russian medical professionals to provide higher-quality care to more patients at a lower cost, in line with GE’s global healthymagination strategy.
In accordance with this initiative, GE Healthcare diagnostic imaging technologies will be localised, manufactured, and distributed in Russia by MTL, a major Russian manufacturer with expertise in the development and production of X-ray, mammography, and healthcare information technology solutions.
