GLOBAL SAN I/O MODULE MARKET

INTRODUCTION

An interconnected network of storage devices known as a SAN (storage area network) offers a shared pool of storage space that may be accessed by numerous servers or computers. Storage on the SAN can be accessed by any computer connected to the network as though it were local discs in that computer.

An integrated circuit's I/O module is a component that handles interface-specific tasks for connecting a CPU to the rest of the system. In order to switch the power to an external load, it can also refer to programmable switches known as I/O relay modules.

I/O modules, which stand for input/output modules, are devices that serve as a connection point between a computer system and a certain type of I/O or peripheral device, such as a printer, webcam, or scanner, at the other end.

GLOBAL SAN I/O MODULE MARKET SIZE AND FORECAST

The global SAN I/O module market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

The new ED-588 industrial specification SAN input/output (I/O) module is available from RS Components. Brainboxes is a well-known designer and producer of PC connection cards.

The ED-588 is a remote Ethernet to digital I/O (DIO) device with eight non-isolated digital input channels and eight digital output channels. It also has a DIN rail mount that is built-in and a thin (22.6mm wide) design that takes up little room.

A potent ARM 80 MHz 32-bit CPU is built inside the module, providing strong, intelligent control capabilities to enable system interfacing on the manufacturing floor.

Process control systems commonly use NuDAM, eDAM, and ADAM modules, which are industry standards. The ED-588 features a gateway RS485 serial port that can be used to connect to these modules.

A wide range redundant dual power input (+5VDC to +30VDC) provides for alternate power sources and can manage variations in the manufacturing floor supply of +24VDC. If one power source fails, a backup power supply can be installed to prevent downtime.

For configuration away from the installation location, power can also be delivered via 5 Volt electricity from any computer USB connection.
