A vehicle that uses one or more electric motors for propulsion is referred to as an electric vehicle (EV).
It can be run on electricity from extravehicular sources, a collector system, or a battery that powers it on its own (sometimes charged by solar panels, or by converting fuel to electricity using fuel cells or a generator).
Road and rail cars, surface and underwater watercraft, electric aeroplanes, and electric spacecraft are just a few examples of EVs. EVs for road cars are part of a future mobility concept known as Linked, Autonomous, Shared and Electric (CASE) Mobility, which also includes other upcoming automotive technologies including shared mobility, autonomous driving, and connected vehicles.
Sao Tomé and Principe is steadfastly pursuing the energy transition in order to improve the nation's resilience to external shocks, lessen energy dependence, utilise the full potential of currently available renewable energies, encourage energy efficiency, and support electric mobility.
