Due to the growing amount of electronic equipment, new military land vehicles require more power and energy, which raises the bar for vehicle battery technology. In a variety of applications, the li-ion battery technology has emerged as a leading secondary battery technology.
Improvements in a number of areas, such as electrode materials and cell design, are to blame for this. High levels of electronics placed in military vehicles need a lot of electrical power, which is projected to severely limit battery capacity as capacity tends to decline with greater rates of discharge.
Li-ion batteries have several advantages for battery technology. In comparison to lead-acid batteries, they have better specific energy, energy density, and cycle life.

The Saudi Arabia Military Electric Vehicle market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2026, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2027.
One of Saudi Arabia's biggest armoured vehicle producers, Altadrea Manufacturing Company (TMC), and Teledyne FLIR, a pioneer in intelligent sensing technologies for industrial and defence applications, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The agreement will strengthen the strategic partnership between the two businesses as they investigate growth and innovation.
The MoU with Teledyne FLIR represents a significant advancement and is consistent with the Saudi General Authority of Military Industries' (GAMI's) strategic goal to localize the military industry by more than 50% and boost its competitiveness.
By enhancing regional industrial and defense capacities and allowing the transfer of technical know-how to the Kingdom, it will also benefit the Saudi military industry.
