A single strand of glass or plastic fibre makes up a simplex fibre cable. When only a single transmit and/or receive line is needed between devices or when a multiplex data transmission is employed, simplex fibre is most frequently used (bi-directional communication over a single fiber).
The Global Simplex Cable Assemblies Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
The demand for high performance fiber-based interconnection solutions has significantly increased, and FC Lane Electronics Ltd. has now opened a new fibre optic assembly facility to meet this demand. The new 1300ft2 facility will be equipped to assist customers with their unique fibre optic connector assembly designs in addition to providing fiber-optic patch cords and jump leads.
The new facility will be built around the Souriau “Elio” high-performance fibre optic system, which can be assembled with 8D Series / MIL-DTL-38999 style connectors, back shells, and heat shrink boots. They offer simplex or duplex cables terminated with Elio to Elio, Elio to LC, or SC contacts – or any combination of these contacts.
Due to its superior optical performance, the Elio fibre optic solution can handle data speeds ranging from several Mbit/s to several Gbit/s.
They are able to provide 8D Series / MIL-DTL-38999 connector platforms with 1 to 24 contacts in a wide range of shell materials and finishes, including bronze, composite, stainless steel, and RoHS Compliant aluminium.
These connectors can be used in systems for the military, aerospace, and other applications where high data rates, weight reduction, and high resistance to harsh environments are requirements.
