Skydiving, also known as parachuting, is the employment of a parachute to slow a diver's descent to the ground after jumping from an airplane or other high elevation, either for leisure or competitive purposes.
Before diving with a camera, a skydiver should have 200 dives. The camera flyer should be familiar with the experience and abilities of all the other jumpers in the group and should have completed at least 50 recent jumps using the same parachute equipment.

It will take time to determine if these changes ultimately favour or impede autonomous vessels like the freefall camera.
