    Solar irradiance meter FLK-IRR1-SOL was launched by Fluke. It gauges the sun’s intensity, the temperature of the surroundings and the PV modules, as well as the tilt and array orientation. It takes immediate readings to calculate the sun irradiation in watts per square meter as required by IEC 62446-1 standard.

     

    It sports a high contrast LCD and big digits for simple sunshine reading. It comes with an easy-to-use carry case with a shoulder strap.Peak sun hours, or the number of daily hours during which a solar array produces 1,000 watts, are used to measure the solar resource. Peak sun hours might change depending on location, the time of day, the season, and the weather.

     

     To establish a baseline, it employs the Fluke IRR1-SOL to calculate the real solar irradiance (Watts/m2) and shading at the site. By evaluating the electrical properties of the system and the actual power output of the array, it is possible to confirm that it is functioning as intended after it has been deployed. 

     

    The current-voltage (IV) curve of a solar array determines how well it performs.The quantity of solar irradiation required to determine the IV curve of the power output is obtained using the IRR1-SOL. A solar system can not be producing the desired amount of electricity even when it is placed properly. The system has to receive the right quantity of irradiance energy to generate the DC voltage that is delivered into the inverter in order to produce the required output.
