An endovascular stent graft is a fabric tube, supported by a metal mesh, called a stent that is usedto support a weak spot in an artery, called an aneurysmâ in many cases, an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
The stent is steered through the artery to the blockage after it is compressed around a balloon at the tip of the catheter. When the balloon is inflated near the blockage, the spring-like stent extends and locks into position inside the artery.
The Global Stent/Graft Testers market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
MN - Minneapolis Medtronic, Inc., recently announced the U.S. market launch of the AneuRx AAAdvantage Stent Graft on the new Xcelerant Hydro Delivery System, which has a hydrophilic coating designed to facilitate navigation of the device through narrow and tortuous arteries by reducing friction with the artery wall.
This announcement is part of the company's ongoing commitment to innovation in endovascular therapies for aortic aneurysms. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given Medtronic permission to commercialise this product using its most recent packaging materials.
The Xcelerant Hydro Delivery System also has a distinctively integrated, tapering sheath on both ends. By reducing the amount of time the sheath's surface area is in touch with the artery wall, this dual-taper sheath is made to make it easier to insert and retract the complete delivery catheter.
The system's low profile qualities, which are meant to allow for superior tracking and access in small vessels, are also a result of the integrated sheath.
