Molybdenum Tungsten Alloys are employed in some corrosion-resistant components of zinc liquid temperature monitoring tubes, zinc liquid pump rotors, and zinc smelting furnaces because they are more resistant to zinc etch than pure metal molybdenum.

 

Because of its high melting point, ablation resistance, and flame erosion resistance to solid particles, Molybdenum Tungsten Alloys can also be utilized for gas rudders and shields of solid rocket motors.
