Uganda sends its first shipment of beef to Egypt. Tonnes of beef were recently sent from Uganda to Egypt as test cargo. The Egypt-Uganda Food Security Company, which is based in the Luweero District, north of Kampala, has just begun shipping its first shipment of beef.
It is said that the newly established Egypt-Uganda Food Security Company is Africa’s largest slaughterhouse. The project manager for the Egypt-Uganda Food Security Company said that the shipping of 50 thousand tons of beef is a trial run following a number of difficulties.
