Global Ultrafast Recovery Rectifier Market 2023-2030

Last Updated:  Apr 25, 2025 | Study Period: 2023-2030

GLOBAL ULTRAFAST RECOVERY RECTIFIER MARKET

INTRODUCTION

An "ultrafast" classification is commonly given to rectifiers created to surpass the standard rectifier recovery by being more than fifty times faster. A "fast" rectifier normally recovers ten times faster than a standard rectifier.

Depending on the desired functionalities, rectifier diode designs provide performance for applications with highly varying VF/Qrr trade-offs. The  rectifier range's minimum power losses are perfectly suited to the functions of mains rectification, bypass, boost, bootstrap, freewheel, and HF rectification.

The topological progression of these general functions, such as resonance or multilevel, is continuously monitored by appropriate designs. In the POWER family are ultrafast rectifiers.

This is supported by the  diodes manufacturing sector, which was founded with the goal of servicing our clients in all market categories, including automotive, industrial, computer, consumer, and appliance in a past, present, and future-focused manner.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

Ultrafast 650 V Recovery Rectifiers are now available from Nexperia for use in automotive and industrial applications. The authority on critical semiconductors, Nexperia, has announced today the expansion of its line of Clip-bonded FlatPower (CFP) packed diodes for use in commercial and vehicular settings.

The most recent additions include four 650 V, 1 A parts offered in CFP3 and CFP5 packages that are intended for use in power converters, PV inverters, and industrial power supply as well as onboard chargers (OBC) and inverters for electric cars.

The PNU65010ER (CFP3) and PNU65010EP (CFP5) are standard products, while the PNU65010ER-Q (CFP3) and PNU65010EP-Q are AEC-Q101 qualified devices (CFP5).

To reduce power losses in high-frequency applications, these automotive and industrial-grade rectifiers offer the best compromise between ultrafast soft switching behaviour and low forward voltage drop. Compared to SMA/B packaged devices, their compact CFP footprint saves board space, enabling dependable, high-density designs.

To meet the rising market demand for CFP-packaged products, Nexperia continues to make significant investments in growing its capacity. Nexperia plans to create the broadest range of surface mount 650 V (up to 30 A) recovery rectifiers on the market to meet the demands of a variety of high-voltage power applications.

Customers will have the choice of ultrafast or hyperfast switching products in a variety of forward voltage requirements for goods with a current rating over 10 A.
