WET ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR MARKET

INTRODUCTION TOWET ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR MARKET

A wet electrostatic precipitator (WESP) is primarily used to decrease PM emissions in exhaust gas streams containing sticky, condensable hydrocarbon contaminants or where there is a significant risk of explosion.A wet electrostatic precipitator (wet ESP) removes particulate matter emissions from exhaust gas streams using electrostatic forces.

Heavy metals such as arsenic, cadmium, or lead, condensed acid aerosols such as sulfuric acid mist, and condensed organic molecules are examples of these. An ESP is a particulate control device that uses electrical forces to transport particles from an exhaust stream onto collection surfaces. When entrained particles pass through a corona, a region where gaseous ions flow, they acquire an electrical charge.

WET ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR MARKETNEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

Metso Outotec introduces the digital optimiser Editube Wet Electrostatic Precipitator. Metso Outotec is introducing a digital optimiser for its wet gas cleaning solution, the Editube Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP), as part of a strategy to improve the quality of sulphuric acid production for its customers.

According to Metso Outotec, WESPs are required prior to sulphuric acid factories processing metallurgical off-gas to assure high-quality acid. Meanwhile, the Editube WESP has a very high removal efficiency potential, with dust levels in the outlet routinely observed at less than 0.5 mg/Nm3.

The Metso Outotec WESP Optimizer has several advantages. Plastic tubes are less likely to be damaged under low acid load circumstances, start-up, and commissioning. When there is surplus capacity, energy can be saved. Enhanced removal efficiency and decreased flashover frequency under high acid load circumstances Provides operators with information that would otherwise be unavailable;

According to the business, the new WESP Optimizer improves the operation of the WESP section by better adjusting it to changes in the overall process.

They are really delighted to release the new WESP Optimizer. It includes critical built-in capabilities to protect units with plastic tube bundles under low acid load operation. Furthermore, the Optimizer improves removal efficiency during high acid load operations and saves energy anytime there is spare capacity.

The Optimizer additionally monitors the behaviour of each WESP, allowing for faster damage identification, and gives previously unavailable information to operators, such as predicted removal efficiency.It has over 35 years of WESP experience and has sold over 125 units.
