The XQD card is a memory card format designed primarily for flash memory cards. As a data transfer interface, it employs PCI Express. The format is aimed at high-definition camcorders and digital cameras with high resolution.
The cards are not backward compatible with CompactFlash or CFast cards, and they have nothing to do with the xD-Picture Card, despite the name similarity.The storage capacity of XQD is enormous.
