Chemical cargo barge cleaning is the process of emptying the barge’s containers of any remaining cargo and cleaning them so that it can be loaded with new or different cargo, inspected, or repaired. Cleaning on a barge can be done while it’s at a pier, in a dry berth, beached, or at anchor.
The most significant risks are brought on by flammable materials, chemical exposures, and skin touch or inhalation. The exposure restrictions in 29 CFR 1915 Subpart Z, Hazard Communication, and personal protective equipment must all be addressed. Throughout the cleansing of the barge, these risks should be assessed.
The Global Chemical barge market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
