The DNA of germs is damaged by light in the new UV-C LED disinfection technique. When compared to traditional UV purification, this method offers a number of novel advantages.
In addition to reducing R&D costs and time to market, UVC LED reactors are small enough to be included directly into existing product designs or offered as an accessory to an existing product. This makes it simpler to integrate disinfection at the point-of-use without compromising product design.
The Global UV-C LED Reactor market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
Klaran Introduces New 60mW UVC LED and Reactor Prototype for Water Disinfection, Demonstrating NSF Class A Performance.
Higher levels of disinfection at lower costs are demonstrated by the Klaran Concept Reactor, accelerating the business impact for producers, distributors, and users of point-of-use water products.
a new 60mW UVC LED has been added to its water disinfection (WD) line. The 60mW LED has proven to be a cost-efficient and effective water treatment solution at flow rates up to three litres per minute, with disinfection rates comparable to NSF/ANSI 55 Class “A.” With flow rates of up to two litres per minute and disinfection rates comparable to NSF/ANSI Class “B,” Klaran’s current WD series LEDs and water treatment reactors are used to treat point-of-use water.
The new reactor includes a user-replaceable LED “engine” to suit the various performance standards set by the market as well as alternative business income models used in the commercial water sector. The new LED is priced under 25 cents per mW, just like Klaran’s existing WD series products.
By addressing maintenance difficulties with existing UVC technologies, such as annual replacement and unscheduled service, Klaran’s growing product line helps producers and sellers of point-of-use water products lower their current total cost of ownership.
