The automatic circuit recloser package, also called a pole-mounted automatic switch, is made up of a vacuum circuit breaker that breaks the circuit, an electronic control that detects overcurrents and activates the recloser, and an interconnecting control cable.
Both single and double pole installations are possible. The vacuum circuit breaker is an auto recloser’s main component. The overhead line switch is situated on top of the pole. It can also be fixed to a frame within a substation.
The switch has the qualities of good opening and closing ability, stable performance, no arc, no explosion danger, no maintenance, compact design, light weight, and long mechanical life thanks to the use of vacuum interrupter technology and three-phase magnetic pole installation structure.
The Global pole mounted automatic switch market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
NOJA Power, a manufacturer of electrical switchgear, recently announced the availability of its 310 series 15- and 27-kV Automatic Circuit Reclosers (ACR).
By enhancing the 300 series 38-kV ACR already in place, the ACR has broadened the company’s selection of grid protection devices for energy distribution systems.
The 310 series replaces previous items with ratings of 630 A with components capable of operating at up to 800 A continuous current. Utilities can employ the ACR in more electrical network configuration options because of the increase in continuous current rating to 800A.
The fault make capacity (RMS) of the 310 series ACRs is 12.5 kA, and the phase-to-earth and phase-to-phase impulse withstand voltages are 110 kV for the 15 kV unit and 150 kV for the 27 kV unit, respectively.
