    GLOBAL HOME WIND TURBINES MARKET

    INTRODUCTION

Residential wind turbines provide clean, renewable energy to individual homes. Wind turbines convert wind energy into usable electricity. The wind turns the blades of the turbine to power a rotor, which spins a small generator in the product. As the generator runs, it produces energy.

Despite the high initial cost, however, well-placed wind turbines – particularly those in exposed coastal areas and which receive an average wind speed of above 6m/s – can generate a significant amount of energy and therefore present an excellent return on investment.small wind generator that you might put in a backyard might have a capacity of about one kilowatt.

An average annual wind speed of nine mph would produce more than 200 kilowatt hours of electricity per year, and average wind speeds of 14 mph could produce more than 600 kilowatt hours per year.
