Microsoft launched a real-time voice translation feature in Skype using AI.The new translation feature uses AI to automatically detect the languages being spoken during a video call and translate them in real time.
Microsoft has announced the availability of real-time voice translation in Skype, which can now translate a person’s speech in real-time using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make the translated voice sound similar to the original speaker.According to the blog post, group video conversations and telephony will soon include real-time translations with genuine voice.
With the use of artificial intelligence, the new translation tool can now instantly translate the languages being used during a video conference.
To do this, spoken words are understood, interpreted, and translated using a combination of voice recognition technology and natural language processing.
In addition, the business claims that if customers enable the usage of their real voice, they would utilise AI to sample their words and customise the translation to sound like them, making the discussion more human.
