The R33 Blue Gasoline and R33 Blue Diesel are second-generation biofuels since they are made entirely of residual and waste materials and contain one third renewable components.
Fuel oxygenates, such as ethanol, make up 10% of the renewable fraction of gasoline, while bio naphtha, which is produced from leftover materials like tall oil, a waste product from the pulp industry, makes up 23% of it.
R33 Blue Diesel contains 26% hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), a sustainable paraffinic fuel, and 7% biodiesel. Fossil fuels account for the remaining 67% of the total energy.
Any vehicle authorised to run on Super 95 E10 gasoline can utilise R33 Blue Gasoline because it completely complies with the applicable standard for gasoline, DIN EN 228.
R33 Blue Diesel is approved for all diesel vehicles, even older ones, because it complies with the current most widely used standard, EN 590.
The Global R33 Blue gasoline market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
The EN 228/E10 standard is complied with by Blue Gasoline fuel, and in several critical areas, such as boiling behaviour and storage stability, it is even exceeded.
Additionally, high-quality additives keep the engine incredibly clean and shield it from corrosion. This means that the fuel can be used in all new and old vehicles for which Super 95 E10 gasoline has been certified, in addition to being delivered through the current network of filling stations.
Biomass-based naphtha or ethanol that has been certified by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) standard makes up the majority of the up to 33% renewable energy.
Tall oil, a byproduct of the paper pulp manufacturing process, is one source of this naphtha. Naptha can, however, also be made from other leftovers and waste products.
When compared to fossil diesel and gasoline, R33 Blue fuels lower CO2 emissions by at least 20%, and the percentage is growing. Fuel companies contribute more to reducing the environmental impact of the residual fossil components in R33 fuels.
All diesel cars, including older ones, can use R33 Blue Diesel because it complies with EN 590, the current industry standard. The unique additives in R33 fuels, which are premium fuels, improve wear and service life.
Both fuels have regularly outperformed the EN 228/E10 norm in important aspects like boiling behaviour and storage stability, as well as in thorough engine and vehicle tests. Additionally, these renewable fuels are exceptionally clean and don’t corrode engines thanks to the high-quality additives.
